Let’s talk about a few things plaguing us ….. all of us professionals stuck in pigeon houses and asked to take care of ourselves have to deal with some stuff which sucks. The remedy is unknown and the frustration level is high…. So let’s just talk about a few things…
Muck (keechad) on the clothes …. Not getting removed….. ok chillax, help is on the way.
- First and foremost, let it dry. Once dry brush off the mud. Then soak the cloth in warm water, add detergent and a teaspoon of vinegar. Let it soak for 15-20 minutes. Rub the area in the soapy mixture and viola the stain is gone. If you are Indian, you would be familiar with something known as “desi soap” this is a standard brown soap available with the friendly kiryane wala. A rub of this soap does the trick.
- Blood on the clothes …. Hmmm cut yourself!!!! and the blood on the kitchen towel/ cloth just would not go & help…….. the ugly stain remains. Don’t worry …. Soak the cloth in cold water and rub the stain without the detergent. Now immerse this cloth and hot water and rub it, alternate the same for 2-3 times and then add a detergent/ or swipe with a washing soap. Rub it and the stain goes.
- A rat squeak… eeoowww…. What to do & help??? Where you feel there is a possible rat nest or a place which is likely to be frequented by rates like kitchen, washrooms, back of sofas or cupboards … sprinkle some coarsely grounded black pepper and the rats will vanish.
- Ants along a kitchen wall or a kitchen slab affected… fear not …. Just keep cucumber skins near the area where the suspected ant hole is. Ants hate cucumber and well you end up getting rid of them………
